Blueberry & Maple Patties

I LOVE this protein-rich patties for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Patties - Blueberry Maple

Makes about 16 patties (2/serving)

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound ground beef

  • 1 pound ground turkey

  • ½ onion finely chopped

  • ½ cup blueberries

  • ¼ cup sugar-free maple syrup

  • ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ cup cold water

  • 3 cloves garlic minced

  • 2tsp oregano

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 ½ tsp cumin

  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika

  • 2 TBSP avocado oil

    Method

    Heat 2 TBSP of oil and add the onion and garlic until cooked. Add oregano cumin, paprika, and cinnamon for a minute. Add vinegar and water and cook until reduced by half. In a large bowl, combine the cooked mixture with the rest of the ingredients excluding the oil. Make patties about 3 inches in diameter Heat the remaining oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
