Guide: What to Eat to maximize your workouts!

Get ready to fuel your body to optimize your workout, minimize fatigue, ease pain, and speed recovery.

Working on an empty stomach, having a small pre-workout meal, or having coffee to increase stamina, are some of the mixed messages we receive.  As a nutritionist and personal trainer, I  always invite you to explore what feels right to your body.  The more you get to know your body, the better your body and mind will feel.

Not all bodies react the same, that is why you need to test your bio-individuality. Some research attests that fasting and caffeine before a workout can improve your performance. To test your bio-individuality try eating a mini-meal such as a protein waffle, one hour before your workout. Then, the next time you work out, don’t eat anything beforehand. Keep a record of what you experience during and after your workout.

 To maximize your workouts based on your fitness goals, concentrate on having a plan to fuel your body: Pre-workout, post-workout, and recovery.
